Summary:
The Marketing & Communications team at Lakewood Church and Joel Osteen Ministries is a small, fast-paced, in-house agency comprised of creative designers, developers and technical professionals. Reporting to the Creative Director and Director of Marketing & Communications, the Graphic Designer works closely with other team members including other designers and the Traffic Manager and is responsible for creating ads, mock-ups, logos and various other designs for the ministries in both print and online mediums.
The ideal candidate would be experienced in delivering high quality content with a proven design background, strong art skills, and well–rounded commercial design experience, with a flair for customer satisfaction. Design degree preferred but not mandatory. Must be detail oriented and work well in a team environment. The position will involve working with the design team to develop promotional packages for various ministry events, as well as, national and international ad campaigns.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and create static and dynamic media for ministry communication
- Create complete design packages from concept to finish for print and web
- Fulfills assigned tasks in a timely manner using best practices methodologies and clear communication with other team members.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant cutting edge design methods and tools.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Minimum of 2+ years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- 2+ years experience as a designer
- Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including but not limited to Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite in a Web Development environment (Adobe Acrobat, DreamWeaver, etc.)
- Designing for re-use and multiple formats including large format and web
- Understanding of design, layout and typography
- Familiarity with ad campaigns for Social Media and mobile platforms a plus.
- Excellent team work, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Experience on working with large teams and projects

- Demonstrated prioritization and multi-tasking abilities, time management and estimation skills, ability to take code direction and constructive criticism

Web Developer (Full Time)

Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Web Developer works closely with other team members including the .NET Development Team Lead and Web Producer and is responsible for coding, styling and maintaining content on the marketing technology backbone.
The ideal candidate would be experienced in delivering high quality content with a proven technical background, strong analytical skills, well-rounded business/industry experience, and a flair for customer satisfaction. Computer science degree preferred but not mandatory. Must be detail oriented and work well in a team environment. The position will involve working with the production/development team to code web and client/server applications as well as playing a key role in maintaining existing projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Code from design with semantic and accessible markup that validates and is cross-browser compatible.
- Fulfills assigned tasks in a timely manner using best practices methodologies and clear communication with other team members.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant cutting edge technology, standards and systems.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with at least 2+ years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- 2+ years of web programming experience
- Extensive knowledge of Web technologies including HTML, XHTML, CSS, Javascript, XML, jQuery and AJAX
- Intermediate or Advanced use of Photoshop for Web Development
- Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite in a Web Development environment (DreamWeaver, etc.)
- Awareness of SEO best-practices and standards
- Coding for accessibility and usability
- Microsoft SharePoint experience a big plus
- Familiarity with development for Social Networks and mobile platforms a plus.
- Experience using Email Campaign management tools (Constant Contact, Lyris) with variable data-fields preferred.

The ideal candidate would be experienced in delivering high quality solutions with proven technical background, strong analytical skills, well-rounded business/industry experience, and a flair for customer satisfaction. Computer science degree preferred but not mandatory. Must be detail oriented and work well in a team environment. The position will involve working with the production/development team to build web and client/server applications as well as playing a key role in maintaining existing projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and implement applications in.NET.
- Collaborate with others to ensure understanding of requirements for assigned projects, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with regard to code and propose solutions to technical requests
- Ensures all requests for code and production support are fulfilled in a timely manner with clear and concise communication to the Marketing Director, Creative Director, Designers, Project Managers and Proofreaders.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant cutting edge technology, standards and systems.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements:

- Solid understanding of object oriented and component-oriented design methods.
- Solid understanding of security practices for internet applications and SQL Server
- Familiarity with development for Social Networks and mobile platforms a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
- Excellent team work, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated experience in Analyzing, Designing, Developing and Delivering Web-based applications
- Strong programming experience (5+ years) using Microsoft .NET technologies in a web-centric environment and well rounded experience in several Microsoft products
