Take Your Liberty
Posted by Victoria on March 16, 2009
God wants you and me to live in freedom. In the Bible, He says that His yoke is easy and His burden is light. That means you don't have to live worried, depressed, or burdened down by the pressures of life. You don't have to live in condemnation or frustration because God has made a way for you to live light, happy, and free. Now is the time to embrace the joy, the peace, the grace, the wisdom, the provision–everything God has for us!
There's a scripture in the Bible that says, "Where the Spirit of the Lord is there’s liberty." Liberty simply means freedom. It's living without limitations. As a believer in Jesus, God's Spirit lives on the inside of you which means that His liberty is on the inside of you. No matter what limitations you may see in the natural, with God you are not limited; you are not hindered because with Him all things are possible! Take hold of that liberty by faith today and declare, "I am free! Sickness and disease have no hold on me…poverty and lack have no hold on me…worry and anxiety have no hold on me because whom the Son sets free is free indeed!"
If the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed (John 8:36, NKJ)

People Need Hope Now More Than Ever
Posted by Joel on March 13, 2009
Now more than ever, people are looking for a solid foundation to base their lives on. They are looking for something to put their hope and trust in and we know that our one true hope is Jesus Christ. He's the only One Who’s promised to never leave us nor forsake us. He's promised to be with us on the mountain and with us when we walk through the valley.
Our goal as a ministry has always been to help people live the best they can, no matter what their circumstances look like. We know that God's Word remains true no matter what's going on around us. When I think about everything our nation–and the world–is facing right now, I know our efforts to reach people must be even more effective.
That's why we created a completely new JoelOsteen.com site.
I am so excited about all the changes, and it may take a little getting used to but I believe you'll love them too. For example, in our Hope For Today section, each week you’ll find new, in–depth articles on life, relationships, God, finances and so much more. It includes articles written by pastors and leaders in and outside of our ministry. There's already enough posted for you to read something new every day for the next month and we’re adding more all the time.
Over the next couple of weeks, I want to highlight some of the new content and features our team has created. Each one has been designed with you in mind–to help increase your faith so that you can live the abundant life God has in store for you!
I hope you will take time to check back with us online as often as you can.
Also, I encourage you to take a moment to let us know what you think about the site, and tell us how you're doing. It is such a blessing to Victoria and I to hear testimonies about what God is doing all over the world. It's because of your faithfulness that we will continue to reach out into every home possible with the message of God’s unconditional love and limitless hope and favor!
