Let The Light Shine In
By Victoria Osteen - Aug 30, 2017

The other day I was in the garden store when I came across some cute little solar lights. I immediately thought they would be perfect to light a path on the side of our house that I've often stumbled on when it's so dark at night. So I bought the lights and put them into the ground along the path, but that evening when I took Joel out to surprise him with the beautifully lit path, I was disappointed to find the lights were dark. Fortunately, before I almost marched the lights back to the store the next morning, I discovered a tiny tab I needed to pull that allows the daylight to power the lights, and now they work perfectly.

So how is the lighting on the pathway of your life? Jesus said, "I am the Light of the world. So if you follow me, you won't be stumbling through the darkness, for living light will flood your path" (John 8:12 TLB). Is He lighting your pathway, or is there something blocking the Light? Might it be there are some friends who don't share the same values that you have and are influencing you more than you care to admit? Or, have you allowed too much busyness in your life, and you don't have time to spend with God in His Word and prayer? Perhaps anger and unforgiveness are blocking the Light of God from your life.

It's time to pull the tab and let the Light shine in. Don't keep stumbling around in the darkness. Get rid of whatever is blocking the Light and let His presence shine on you and light your pathway to a blaze!
