Inspiration

Little by Little
By Victoria Osteen - Jul 19, 2016

It's human nature for people to want to know what's up ahead in life. We all wonder what the future holds. We want to know who we are going to marry or when we'll have kids. We want to know about our careers. We want to know when and how we'll fulfill our dreams and goals. We focus on our health or how we want to lose that 10 or 20 pounds. There's nothing wrong with thinking about the future, but remember, life is lived today—one day at a time, one step at a time. You have to lose one pound before you lose two. You have to lose two pounds before you lose five. The same is true with every other milestone in life. Life happens little by little.

We see this in scripture in Deuteronomy chapter 7. God told His people that He was going to deliver them little by little. He knew that if everything happened at once, it was not going to be good for them. He was taking them on a journey and teaching them to trust Him and follow His leading.

I believe God is doing the same with you and me today. He is leading us, little by little. He's teaching us to trust, little by little. He is revealing His plan, little by little. Don't despise the day of small beginnings. Don't get frustrated when things are not happening as quickly as you'd like. Just thank God that you are moving forward. Trust in His timing. Trust that He has your best interest at heart. Trust that He is leading you into victory as you keep moving forward, little by little!
