The Holy Spirit Our Helper
By Victoria Osteen - Dec 15, 2015

Before Jesus was taken to be crucified, He was with His disciples and told them, "I am going away, but don't worry, I'm going to leave you a Helper. If I don't leave, the Helper can't come." Jesus was saying, "I have a far-reaching ministry planned that can only be accomplished by the work of the Holy Spirit." Jesus and His 12 disciples had an effective ministry, but when the Holy Spirit entered the scene, their effectiveness multiplied and became a worldwide movement.

The Holy Spirit is still in the earth to help us. He is the one who draws us to Jesus. He makes His home in our hearts when we are born again. He reveals the truth to us, and because of Him, we can be redeemed. Let's consult with the Holy Spirit when we need help. Let's allow Him to produce fruit in our lives.

As we finish up this year, let's prepare for next year by acknowledging the Holy Spirit. We are better prepared in everything when we consult Him first. Welcome Him into your life today and thank Him for all God will accomplish in you through Him.

"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you." (John 14:26, NKJV)
