Inspiration

It's Already Done
By Joel Osteen - Jul 22, 2016

In scripture, God told Ananias to go and pray for Saul, but Ananias didn't want to go. Saul was not yet a believer and was having Christians arrested and put in prison. At the time, Saul was the greatest enemy of the church. One day, while traveling down the road to Damascus, a bright light shone down and caused him to go blind. Then a voice boomed out and said, "Saul, why do you persecute Me?" He said, "Who are you?" The voice said, "I am Jesus."

That moment was a turning point in Saul's life. He left that place a changed man. However, Ananias didn't know anything about what had happened on the road to Damascus. He still thought that Saul was a huge threat. He said, "Lord, I've heard many reports about this man and all the harm that he's causing." Ananias was worried. He came up with a lot of reasons why he shouldn't pray for Saul. I'm sure he spent some restless nights thinking, "I must not have heard God right. This man is dangerous." He didn't realize he was worried about something that God had already taken care of. He didn't know that Saul had already had a change of heart on the road to Damascus. When Ananias finally went to pray for him, he discovered that Saul was an ally instead of an enemy.

Just like with Ananias, some of the things that you're worried about, though you can't see it yet, God has already changed it. He's already spoken to the right people. He's already lined up your healing. He's already arranged that breakthrough. It's just a matter of time before you walk into it. It's no use losing sleep over that child that's off course anymore. It's no use being frustrated over that negative medical report, over that situation at work. The threat has already been cancelled. The solution is already in route. Stay in peace, and like Ananias, you'll come into what God has already done.

"For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland." (Isaiah 43:19, NLT)
