2 Corinthians 10:5, KJV
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.
We all have pictures that we see in our mind. Sometimes a negative imagination will come—our business going downhill, our child getting off course, losing our health. There’s no truth to it—it’s a lie, an imagination that’s not going to come to pass. But if you allow that to play, it will steal your joy, and you’ll go through the day worried and in fear. It’s all an imagination that’s exalting itself above what God promised you, and you have to cast it down. Quit imagining the worst.
The good news is, you control what plays in your mind. You can’t keep the negative images from coming, but you can guard your imagination and keep them from staying. Use your imagination for the right purposes—to see what God says about you. Switch over into the faith network. One channel shows your business taking off, another shows your health improving, and another shows you happy and fulfilled. Protect your imagination.
Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for giving me the power to control the imaginations playing in my mind. Thank You that I can cast down the negative imaginations that come against me, and I can use positive imaginations to keep moving forward. I’m switching over to the faith network. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
