The Badge of Busyness
By Victoria Osteen - Aug 11, 2015

The Bible says, "Commit your ways to the Lord and He will establish your plans." It doesn't say, "Commit your ways to the Lord and you'll get everything you want." No, it says to surrender and let God order your steps.

We have to know that God has already established our plans. The question is—are we walking in His plan or in our own plan? We can have good intentions but sometimes we get off course in life simply because we get to busy. When so many things are coming your way, it's easy to distracted and lose focus.

Sometimes people wear their busyness like a badge. Our society wants to be multitaskers and high achievers; however, activity isn't the same as productivity. We can be busy all day long but still not accomplish what God has for us. We have to make time to go to the Father and commit our ways to Him and let Him establish our plans each and every day.

Today, if you've been wearing the badge of busyness, let it go. Surrender your ways to the Lord and let Him order your day. Ask Him for daily bread. Ask Him to order your steps. Release your cares and separate yourself. Be determined to draw strength, victory, and encouragement from Him so you can walk in His plans and accomplish exactly what He has for you!

"Commit your work to the LORD, and your plans will be established" (Proverbs 16:3, ESV).
