Acknowledge Him with Your Love
By Victoria Osteen - Jun 05, 2015

Proverbs 3:6 talks about acknowledging God in all of our ways. As I was meditating on that Scripture one day, I started thinking about the many ways we can acknowledge the people in our lives. For example, my children acknowledge me as their mother, their caretaker, their chef, and for many years, their chauffeur. But do you know what moves my heart the most? Of course, I love that they trust me to take care of them, but I don't want to be known as just their caretaker. I want to be known as the one they love; the one they are drawn to. I want to be the one they want to spend time with just because they love me. When my children acknowledge me with their love, everything else just falls into place. They don't even need to ask me for things—I already know what they need because we spend time together.

The question today is: How do you acknowledge God? Yes, He is your Provider; He is your Protector; He is your Strength; He is your Deliverer, but are you in the habit of acknowledging Him as the One you love? It's as simple as saying, "Father, I love You so much. You mean everything to me. I give You my whole heart, mind and strength."

I can't help but think how it moves the heart of God when we acknowledge Him with our affection. Maybe you aren't used to being this personal with God, but God wants to be personal with you. He loves you so much. He wants to be involved in every part of your life. Acknowledge Him in all of your ways; acknowledge Him with your love and watch how everything else falls into place.

In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:6, NIV)
