Bask in the Son
By Victoria Osteen - Jul 07, 2015

When I was a teenager, my friends and I used to love to sun bathe. There wasn't much talk of sun protection back then, so we would work on our tans as much as we could. (Though, you really couldn't call it "work".) We'd get out the lawn chairs, go in the back yard, put some music on, and just bask in the sun; twenty minutes on each side. It didn't matter how hot it got, we would just lie still in the presence of the sun because we had a goal. Our time in the sun did something for us—it changed the way we looked!

On a spiritual level, we are also changed by the presence of the S-O-N. Spending time in His presence changes the way we look, but it also changes the way we act and the way we feel! His presence transforms us into His image. Best of all, there's no downside to getting too much S-O-N. The more time you spend in His presence, the better it is for you - spirit, soul, and body!

Be intentional about getting into His presence. Set aside time. Make preparations. Put some worship music on. No matter what distractions may come, stay on track and be transformed as you bask in the presence of the SON!

"Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!" (Psalm 105:4, ESV)
