Don't Get Mixed Up
By Victoria Osteen - Aug 09, 2016

I love how simply Jesus presented things in scripture. He talked to people in ways they could understand. To farmers, He said "the Word of God is like a seed…" When he spoke to fishermen, He would say, "Come to Me, and I will make you fishers of men."

This shows us that Jesus wants to communicate with us, and He wants us to understand Him. He wants us to know Him, and He wants to know us. He's wants to reveal His heart so we can experience all of His spiritual blessings.

In John 10:10, Jesus wants us to know something specific about Him, and He very clearly explains Himself. In summary He says, "Listen, don't get Me mixed up with the enemy. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but that's not My goal. I came to give you life more abundantly!"

Jesus doesn't want us to get Him mixed up with the devil. He wants us to know beyond the shadow of a doubt that He is good and He is for us. He wants it to be clear that His mission is not to condemn or bring death and destruction; He is about bringing life, hope, and peace.

Today, if you're wondering how God feels about you, just to be clear: He's not mad at you; He's madly in love with you! He's on your side! You are precious and valuable to Him, and He has a wonderful plan for your future. Let that truth sink down deep into your heart today.

"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." (John 10:10, NIV)
