Don't Dismiss Your Miracle
By Victoria Osteen - Dec 29, 2015

You may have heard the story in scripture where Jesus fed 5,000 families with five loaves and two fish. I was thinking about this story the other day, and what stood out to me is how the disciples first encouraged Jesus to send the people home so they could eat. They were going to dismiss the people in their time of need, and in essence, they were going to dismiss the miracle God wanted to do with them.

This is an important reminder that we need to expect God to move in our time of need. It's tempting to try to figure things out in the natural or go a logical route. But when we learn to live through our eyes of faith, that's when miracles happen.

Another part of this story that I love is when Jesus took the bread, gave thanks for it, and then broke it and started passing it out. The bread in His hand wasn't enough to feed the crowd, but He didn't wait for all of the provision. He used what He had and took a step of faith. Too often, we hold the little we have and wait for God to do something, but God is saying, "Step out and use what you have! Then, I will multiply it!"

Today, know first that your little in the hands of Almighty God is more than enough. Take a step of faith and trust that He will meet you. Look for God to act on your behalf. Believe Him, give Him opportunity to move in your life, and don't dismiss your miracle!

"But Jesus said to them, 'They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.'" (Matthew 14:16, NKJV)
