Inspiration

Fully Alive
By Victoria Osteen - Sep 18, 2015

The other day, I was at the grocery store looking at vitamins in the health section. There were dozens of brands to choose from which can be quite overwhelming. I sat there reading the labels for a couple of minutes, and then I noticed a bottle that said "Alive" vitamins! I knew right then and there that those were the vitamins I wanted. I wanted to ingest something that was alive because when we sow life into our bodies, we will reap life!

That's what happens when we ingest the Word of God. Jesus said, "My words are spirit and they are life." When you read, study and meditate on the Word of God, it becomes alive in you. It's powerful and active! It will change you, and it will change your circumstances!

Reading Scripture doesn't have to be complicated. It doesn't have to take a long time. If you have just 10 minutes a day, you can radically transform your life. If you meditate on a single Scripture throughout the day, it can do wonders for your mind and emotions. You don't have to start with a major reading plan, just get started! Read in Proverbs or the Psalms every single day. Read something out of the New Testament to start. Let the Word of God nourish your faith. Let His Word be the anchor for your prayers. When you have an anchor, you won't be tossed to and fro by every circumstance that comes your way. Without an anchor, we all will struggle, so make sure to anchor your prayers to the Word of God!

Remember, the Word of God is fully alive. When you read His Word, you are sowing life to your body. You're sowing strength, health and peace that passes understanding. Sow the Word into your heart today so you can embrace His promises and live fully alive!

"…the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life." (Galatians 6:8, NASB)
