Open Your Heart for the Extraordinary
By Victoria Osteen - Mar 22, 2016

The Bible is filled with extraordinary stories of God's faithfulness throughout all generations. There are so many people in scripture whose lives still speak to us today because they dared to believe God--Moses, Joshua, Joseph, David, Paul and Mary. But have you thought about the fact that all of the great hero's of the Bible were just ordinary people—like you and me? The difference is, they opened their hearts to allow God to do something extraordinary in their lives.

I believe God wants to unleash the same favor and ability in us today that He did so long ago. In fact, the Bible says that God is the same yesterday, today and forever. If He parted the Red Sea for the children of Israel, He'll make a way where there seems to be no way in your life today. If He fed a crowd of over 5,000 by multiplying a small boy's lunch, He'll multiply your resources so that there is abundance leftover. If He healed a woman who had an issue of blood for 20 years, He can heal your body today.

I encourage you to dare to believe that God wants to do something extraordinary through you! Embrace the fact that He wants your life to be a testimony of His glory in this generation and generations to come. You may feel ordinary today, your life may be a simple life, but God said in His Word that He uses the simple things to confound the wise. Open your heart to Him today and say, "Father, use me for Your glory." Then look for the extraordinary things God wants to do in your life!

"Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know." (Jeremiah 33:3, NKJV)
