Stop, Pause, Breathe In, and Enjoy
By Victoria Osteen - Jul 11, 2017

Today, ask yourself if you're just rushing through life. Too often, we all do! We dash around and forget to stop and breathe in those beautiful moments when our child kisses our face or when our husband tells us he loves us. We get a promotion at work…and it's right back to work. Take a minute and breathe it all in and say, "Thank You, Lord!" Be grateful! Go outside and look at the trees and the big blue sky that God made for you to enjoy. Put life on pause, collect your thoughts, and realize that God created you to enjoy the good things in your life. Determine to walk in the joy of the moment!

A while ago I bought a small beaded bracelet that is called "a pause bracelet." On the back, it has a little disk that I can set to time intervals. So every ninety minutes, that little disk vibrates on my wrist and reminds me to take inventory of what's going on in my thought life. It reminds me to pause and be grateful! It helps me to redirect and refocus when I'm going a thousand miles a minute, doing one thing and thinking of the next thing I have to do. All throughout the day,we need to take these moments to pause and reset our focus to rest in God's presence and love.

Whether you use a pause bracelet or your telephone alarm or set little Post-it notes around the house as reminders, pause throughout the day and realign your thoughts to the thoughts of Christ! God wants to "strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being" (Ephesians 3:16 NIV), so that you are anchored strong and secure in Him. Scripture says to make sure you're taking time throughout the day to think on things that are "noble…just…pure…lovely…of good report…and praiseworthy" (Philippians 4:8 NKJV).

You'll find them…wonderful gifts to enjoy…if you'll just stop and look for them.
