Waiting for the Appointed Time
By Victoria Osteen - May 13, 2016

Do you have some things you've been praying and waiting for? Maybe you are waiting for a relationship to be restored. Maybe you are waiting for a child or a business opportunity. Remember, with God, there is an appointed time; and when something is from God, it's well worth the wait!

It can be tempting to put so much emotional energy into the thing you are waiting for that you begin to lose focus in other areas. I want to encourage you today, don't put your life on hold while you are waiting. Every day we all have responsibilities, obligations and relationships to tend to. There is life to live while you are waiting for your appointed time. God knows you are waiting, and He's saying, "Wait well!"

Scripture tells us to follow the example of the farmer. The farmer sows a seed and waits. He doesn't dig up his seed to see where it is in the growing process. He simply stands firm. He looks for the rain to water his crop. He trusts God knowing that eventually the harvest will come.

Today, while you are waiting for your appointed time, are you looking for the rain of God's favor? Are you expecting the harvest? In the meantime, develop who you are in the waiting. Prepare yourself today for what God has for you tomorrow. Enjoy your relationships and have fun! Let God lead you on a journey of growth and preparation while you are waiting for your appointed time!

"For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry." (Habakkuk 2:3, KJV)
