When You Are Running On Empty
By Victoria Osteen - Jul 14, 2017

When our gas tank is near empty, we get to a gas station and fill it up. When we're about to write a check, we make sure we have enough money in our bank account to cover the amount. So why don't we do the same with our mental, emotional and spiritual bank accounts when they're on empty? When we find that we're easily frustrated and upset, when everything seems impossibly hard and we're thinking that things are never going to change, we're being overwhelmed and need a refill!

How can you keep your mental, emotional and spiritual bank accounts full today? You can start by reminding yourself that you're not a victim of your circumstances or feelings or thoughts, but you are a victor. The Scripture says, "In all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us [so much that He died for us]" (Romans 8:37 AMP). It also says that "we have the mind of Christ" (1 Corinthians 2:16 NIV). We can literally think the thoughts of our champion, Jesus Christ; we can attach ourselves to His champion mentality. He has given us His Word to fill our mind and spirit with truth. Jesus came to give us the abundant life we need to fill our emotional tanks.

God wants you to have everything that Jesus came to give you. Sometimes to fill your spiritual account is as simple as reminding yourself that you are God's masterpiece…that you're made in His image and character and with His strength. You're unique. He's specifically designed you. You're lacking nothing. You have everything you need to accomplish what He's called you to do. You need to dwell on these truths! Get them into your heart and mind and fill your tank!

You are a champion. You have what it takes to overcome the punches of life. Take the time to be filled with God's strength.
