Ease Is Coming
By Joel Osteen - Dec 22, 2017
We all go through seasons of struggle where we're doing the right thing but it seems as though we're taking one step forward and two steps back. Too often we lose our enthusiasm and think it's never going to change. In Matthew 11, Jesus talked about how the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and you have to take it by force. He was telling us that there will be seasons where you have to stand strong and fight the good fight of faith. But a few verses later He said, "My yoke is easy and My burden is light" (v. 30). He was saying that you're going to go through times of pressure and difficulty, but that's not permanent. "My yoke, what I'm going to put on you, it's easy, it's light.

You may be struggling now with your finances, your health, or your relationships, but you're about to come into an anointing of ease. David said, "God anoints my head with oil" (Psalm 23:5). Where there's friction, things that are stuck, oil is used to make things flow. God is going to oil your life. That anointing is going to be a supernatural grace, a favor that lightens the load and takes the pressure off. You're going to accomplish more with less work. What may have stopped you in the past is not going to stop you anymore. You're going to flow right past it and think, "That was easier than I thought. I never dreamed it would happen that fast."

I know a single mother who was working hard, raising her children, trying to make ends meet, but every month she could barely pay her bills. It looked as though she would struggle her whole life. But one day her supervisor unexpectedly took early retirement, and she was given that position, which came with a significant increase in salary. She was very grateful. Several years later, her manager, a vice president in the company, suddenly resigned, and she was offered that position. Today she makes more than ten times what she made when she started. She said, "Joel, I don't even know how it happened. Things just fell into place, and here I am."

That's what God is going to do for you. He's going to put you at the right place at the right time. He's going to open doors that no man can shut. He's going to cause people to be good to you. You may be struggling in some areas now, but don't get discouraged. You're coming into a season where things are going to fall into place. Problems that you thought were permanent are about to turn around. Ease is coming.
