Inspiration

Yours for the Taking
By Victoria Osteen - May 01, 2016
When my kids come home from school or from visiting one of their friend's houses, most times, the first thing they do is head for the fridge. They don't ask me if it's okay to get a drink. They don't beg my permission for a sandwich or a snack. They just walk right in and help themselves. They know that in our family, they are welcome to whatever we have in the house.

Do you know that God's kingdom operates the same way? When you join God's family, when you receive Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, you don't have to beg Him for "something out of the fridge." His blessing, His abundance, His provision and His promises are yours for the taking! It's all available to you. But if you don't realize this, you'll miss out on what He has for you. It's up to you to do your part to receive His blessings. It's up to you to take hold of His promises by faith. It's up to you to go boldly into His presence and find everything that you need.

Today, know that whatever you need He has, and as a child of His, He makes those things available to you. Don't just sit waiting and wondering if or when God will bless you. Instead, receive His promises by faith! Begin to declare His truth over your life. When you speak His Word, it's like opening that refrigerator door. When you sing praises to His name, it's like pouring a refreshing glass of water. When you walk in obedience to His Word, you are setting His blessing in motion. Keep believing, keep speaking, keep following His Word and get ready to partake of all the good things He has in store for you!

"What man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?" (Matthew 7:9, NKJV).
