Give Thanks to the Lord
By Victoria Osteen - Nov 25, 2010
One of the best ways to open the door to God's miracle-working power in your life is through praise and thanksgiving. Many times in the Bible before the people of God went to war, they would send the singers and praisers out to battle first. They knew there was power in worship. The Bible tells us that God inhabits the praises of His people, and when God shows up, every enemy, every foe must flee!

Today in America, we celebrate Thanksgiving. It's a time to share with family and friends and remember the founding of our great country. But let's also take time to show our thanks and praise to the one true God, our heavenly Father who is forever faithful. Take a few minutes right now and just read over this passage in 1 Chronicles. Let it sink down in your heart as you give thanks to the Lord today.

1 Chronicles 16:23-34, NIV

Sing to the LORD, all the earth;
proclaim His salvation day after day.
Declare His glory among the nations,
His marvelous deeds among all peoples.
For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise;
He is to be feared above all gods.
For all the gods of the nations are idols,
but the LORD made the heavens.
Splendor and majesty are before Him;
strength and joy are in His dwelling place.
Ascribe to the LORD, all you families of nations,
ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.
Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name;
bring an offering and come before Him.
Worship the LORD in the splendor of His holiness.
Tremble before Him, all the earth!
The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved.
Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad;
let them say among the nations, "The LORD reigns!"
Let the sea resound, and all that is in it;
let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them!
Let the trees of the forest sing,
let them sing for joy before the LORD,
for He comes to judge the earth.
Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good;
His love endures forever.

Today and every day, we are so thankful for you and for your love and support of this ministry. Together, we are making an eternal difference in lives all over the world. God bless you today and always!
