Today is the Day for Your Miracle
Understand, every time you say, "God, send favor now. Send healing now. Send breakthroughs now," God releases a new wave of His goodness in the unseen realm. You may not see anything happening, but that doesn't mean God is not working. The Scripture says, "The moment you pray, the tide of the battle begins to turn." At that very moment, God sets the miracle into motion. It may not show up for a week, a year or ten years. But if you will stay in faith, one day you will suddenly see what God has been doing behind the scenes.
A couple of months ago, Victoria and I were talking to a young couple. They had been believing for a child for many, many years with no success. But instead of being discouraged, they would come to church every week. The wife joined one of our support groups called H.O.P.E., which stands for Hearts of Promise and Expectation. It's a group we have for women who are trying to have children through either birth or adoption. They pray for one another and encourage each other. Well, this couple had a tremendous attitude of faith. Even during the hard times, they had the attitude, "This could be the day that we conceive a baby. This could be the day that God blesses us with a child."
Month after month went by. They didn't see anything happening. Two years. Three years. Four years. They just kept declaring, "Father, send that baby now. Send healing now. Send favor now." Five years later, after being told by the doctors that they couldn't have children, they brought us the most beautiful baby girl to dedicate.
I wonder what would have happened if they would have just sat at home all these years thinking, "Too bad for us. It's just our luck. It's not meant to be." Thankfully, they kept the attitude, "Today is the day." Even when nothing happened the first month, it didn't matter. "Today is the day." Nothing happened the first year. They weren't moved; they kept believing. For five years they didn't see any progress, but they knew down deep inside that God was working behind the scenes, and suddenly, she was able to conceive.
It's easy to get discouraged and think, "My marriage is never going to change. I'm never going to get well. I'm never going to accomplish my dreams." But remember, God is a God of the "suddenlies!" He can suddenly turn any situation around. He can suddenly get you out of debt. He can suddenly cause you to conceive. He can suddenly bring a dream to pass! Here's the key: while we're waiting, just like this couple, it's important to keep an attitude of faith. Keep declaring God's promises over your life. Keep declaring that today is the day for your miracle!
