It’s Your Choice
By Victoria Osteen - Mar 04, 2010
What’s your outlook on life today? Do you wake up every morning ready to embrace the day? Or do you wait for your circumstances to dictate your attitude?

Even though there may be things that happen in your day that are beyond your control, one thing that you always have control over is your attitude. Sometimes it can be so easy to let our responsibilities and the pressures of life pull our thoughts in a negative direction. But negative thinking only bogs us down and steals our joy and enthusiasm. Negative thinking makes the small stuff seem so much larger until we are living in constant worry and frustration. Before long, we stop appreciating our friends and family; we start believing our boss has something against us, and we begin to wonder if the entire world is out to get us.

If that’s how you feel today, take heart—your life can be different! You can take off that garment of heaviness and put on a garment of thanksgiving. By an act of your will, you can choose a new outlook on life.

The scripture encourages us to constantly put on a fresh, new mental attitude. When you wake up in the morning, you can choose to focus on good things. You can choose to be grateful. You can choose a fresh, positive attitude so you can rise up higher into the life of blessing and victory He has prepared for you!

And be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude] (Ephesians 4:23, AMP).
