Hope and Healing for Haiti
By Joel Osteen - Feb 10, 2010
Last week after visiting our friends at the USS Cole in Norfolk, we traveled to Times Square for "A Night of Hope, Healing, and Prayer for Haiti" organized by Bishop Hezakiah Walker. New York is home to the largest population of Haitians outside of Haiti, and it was estimated that about 10,000 people were in attendance. What an amazing site to see so many people from different backgrounds and different faiths united in the name of Jesus.

While we were in New York, we were honored to spend some time with Mayor Michael Bloomberg. He is great man with an amazing testimony of how his parents came here as immigrants. His father made about $11,000 a year, but they were always so generous. They gave even when they didn't have anything. Now he is one of the most financially influential people in America. We had a good time visiting with him and his staff. They are doing an amazing job,and as always, we pray for them and all our leaders.

Victoria and I want to thank you for your prayers and support of this ministry. When we go out, when we reach out to minister and pray for others, we represent you. In God's eyes, we go together. We are partners in ministry. It's your faithfulness that makes it possible to share the Good News with so many. Don't ever think that what you do doesn't matter because it does. God sees your faithfulness, and He promises to reward you in this life and in eternity.
