Victoria and I are so blessed to work along side many wonderful ministries as together we share the message of hope found in Jesus Christ to millions all over the world.
I want to tell you about our good friends Matt and Laurie Crouch of TBN and Gener8xion Entertainment. They have been producing high-quality Christian movies for a long time, and this year the Lord has opened a tremendous door of opportunity for them and for believers everywhere. This Friday, their new film "Preacher's Kid" will be released in theaters in 33 cities across America. "Preacher's Kid" is a modern day version of the parable of the Prodigal Son. It's set in urban America with an amazing cast and an exceptional soundtrack. The lead is played by our friend singer/songwriter Latoya Luckett, founding member of the popular singing group, Destiny's Child. Latoya is from Houston and attends Lakewood whenever she's in town. She stars with Durrell Babbs, Clifton Powell, Sharif Atkins, Gregalan Williams, Essence Atkins and Kiki Sheard.
For the first time, Gener8xion Entertainment partnered with Warner Premiere, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company on this project, and Warner is considering co-producing additional Christian films in the future.
This is a wonderful tool to reach people with the Good News and to show our support of quality Christian media. Maybe you know someone who isn't open to attending a church service, but they will go with you to the movies.
