Working Together
By Victoria Osteen - Jan 19, 2010
It's almost overwhelming to think about the response all over the world to the tragedy in Haiti. Churches, businesses, organizations, and even individuals are looking for ways to send support. I even had a friend tell me they saw some young girls who were having a bake sale in their neighborhood over the weekend with a sign that said "For Haiti Relief." People everywhere are trying to do whatever they can to help in whatever way they can.

The Bible says in Psalm 133 that it pleases the Lord when His people work together in unity. It's like a sweet fragrance to Him. In fact, it says that when the people of God work together, God commands blessing!

We're so honored to be working together with so many believers all over the world to reach out to help the needy and bring hope to the hopeless. When you join your prayers and financial support with us, you are stepping into the place where God commands the blessing. He promises that when we give, it shall be given back to us, pressed down, shaken together, and running over! He's our El Shaddai—the God of more than enough!

Remember, working together in unity is something we should focus on every day with friends, family, and loved ones. What would happen in your home if you constantly looked for common ground with your family members? What would happen in your marriage if you focused on the things that brought you together instead of allowing differences to pull you apart? Today, focus on working together with the people in your life. Focus on finding things that unify you and bring you together. Be a peacemaker and step into the place where God commands the blessing!
