It's Time for Restoration
By Joel Osteen - Oct 28, 2009
We all have missed opportunities or blown chances at some point in our lives. Maybe you can look back and think, "Why didn't I put more effort into that relationship?" "Why didn't I take that job?" Or, "Why did I spend all those years running with the wrong crowd when I could have been getting ahead?"

There are many reasons people miss out on opportunities and when you do, it's tempting to think, "That's too bad for me. I'll never have that chance again." But the truth is that God always has another season. He is a God of restoration! He said in the Joel 2:25 that He will restore the years that have been stolen from you. Restoration is about reliving the past; it's about God making up for it so that your future is even brighter than if you hadn't missed those opportunities! God can make the rest of your life so rewarding and so fulfilling that all those wasted years just disappear.

I remember a few years ago I was doing a book signing in another state. There were a few hundred people in the line when two ladies walked up, one in her 50's and the other maybe in her 30's. They were both crying, and of course, I didn't know what was going on. The older lady began to explain that this was her daughter. They had been estranged for over 12 years. They had gotten at odds with each other, and even though individually they wanted to make things right, there seemed to be too much water under the bridge for either of them to reach out to the other.

Neither of the ladies realized that they both had been watching our program on television. Neither of them knew the other had decided to come to the book signing that night. When they saw each other, a healing began to take place. All the bitterness and unforgiveness began to melt away. That relationship was instantly being restored. And with big tears rolling down her cheeks, the mother told me, "Joel, this is the happiest day of my life. God has brought my daughter back to me."

Today, do you need restoration in a relationship? Your finances? Your body? God is no respecter of persons. What he did in the lives of these two women, He will do for you! Open your heart and receive it by faith today. Begin to boldly declare that this is your time for restoration!

If this story was a blessing to you, there's more just like it in my new book, "It's Your Time" available November 3. Check out this link for more information I want you to understand that God will restore you and set you on a course for total victory!
