No Worries
By Joel Osteen - Jul 22, 2009
There´s a scripture in Matthew 6 that tells us not to worry about anything at all. We shouldn´t worry about what we will eat, what we will wear, or where we will live. It goes on to say that we shouldn´t even worry about tomorrow because God loves us, and He will take care of every concern that we have.

Last week, Victoria and I were in Australia with our ministry team, and they have a saying that I think we should use more here in the United States. Everywhere I went, people were saying, "No worries" with a sunny disposition. One day, I was out eating at a buffet and turned around too quickly and dropped my plate on the floor. I was so embarrassed, and I made a big mess, but the waiter quickly walked over just as cheerful as he could be and said, "No worries!" Immediately, I felt at ease. If he wasn´t going to worry about it, then I wasn´t either. And I´m sure he wasn't thinking of it this way; but when he said "no worries", it was as if he was declaring that not only was he not going to worry, but there would be no worries about the situation at all from anyone at all. It was as if he were holding up a stop sign to worry and saying, "Worry, you´re not allowed in this situation. No one is going to fret over this, no one is going to be upset over this, and no one is going to be anxious over this situation. We are going to have peace."

What situations in your life do you need to declare "no worries" over? It´s time to put up the "stop sign" to worry because all worry does is steal your peace and distract you from God´s best. Are you having a struggle in a relationship today? No worries! God is the restorer. Are you having challenges with your job, fearful about layoffs? No worries! When you are faithful with the little, God will make you ruler over much. He is the One who brings promotion. Do you need a place to live or a better car to drive? No worries! God promises to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory. He provides shelter for the birds of the air, and He will take care of you! Make the decision today to close the door on worry so you can set your mind on the good things that God has in store for your future!
