“A Night of Hope” in the Twin Cities
By Joel Osteen - Jun 01, 2009
Last Friday, Victoria and I were in Minneapolis with our team for “A Night of Hope” at the Target Center. This was our second visit to the Target Center, and it’s always such a joy see our friends and partners in the Twin City area. We had such an amazing night beginning with explosive praise and worship and ending with thousands of people standing to dedicate their lives to Jesus! We were so honored to have about 150 of the students and staff from Teen Challenge as our guests for the event that evening. Teen Challenge is one of the oldest, most successful, faith-based addiction treatment centers in the world. They began in 1958 and now have over 170 centers all over the United States. The team at Teen Challenge has done an amazing job to help restore lives, unite families, and build stronger communities. Victoria and I commend them and appreciate all that they do to bring the hope and healing of Jesus Christ to teens across the nation. If you or loved ones are dealing with any type of addiction or unhealthy behaviors, I want you to know that God loves you and He has a good plan for your life. He wants you to be set free. Even if you don’t know where to begin, just simply turn to Him with an open heart. Ask Him to help you and direct your steps. Then, look for an organization in your area like Teen Challenge that can give you the tools you need to overcome. Please know that Victoria and I love you and pray for you every day. We believe that as you put God first in all that you do, He’ll pour out His favor and blessings upon you and take you places that you never dreamed!
