Enter 2020 with Thanksgiving
Did you know that God wants to bring out the best in you in 2020? He wants to bring out God opportunities, God moments, and God miracles. He wants to do some amazing things in your life, to give you the desires of your heart as you delight in Him. If you will take time to invest and delight and dwell in God, He will ignite the desires of your heart, and you will abound in His grace and goodness.
What better way than to enter the new year as the psalmist says, “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name" (Psalm 100:4). Start today by saying, “God, I love You, and I’m entering Your gates with thanksgiving and Your courts with praise. I declare by faith that You are still on the throne, and I am coming boldly to Your throne of grace to receive Your mercy and grace to help me in this new year. Amen!”
When you speak out words of faith like these, you’re putting your faith into action. You’re saying to yourself, to your circumstances, and to your feelings that nothing can rule your heart but God’s Word. That’s why it’s so important that we finish this old year and start this new year with powerful declarations of faith. Your words of faith will put you on your feet because of what it does to your spirit, because your spirit man longs for God’s Word. It attaches itself to His Word, and it becomes strong in God’s Word. That’s why we can be our own force of strength when we adapt God’s Word to our lives, when we use it for His glory.
God loves you with an everlasting love. He gave His very best for you in Jesus. He gave His life as a ransom for you. Today, God sees you in Christ Jesus, His beloved. And if “you are in Christ, you are a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17). You are standing on the threshold of a new beginning with the old behind you. Keep words of faith coming out of your mouth! Declare, “This year is going to be my year, and nothing is going to limit me. Nothing is going to stop me because I’m going to let it be known that my God is on the throne.” As you keep declaring your faith, I believe you’ll see miracles happen in 2020 that you never even expected!
