2 Corinthians 1:20, NIV
For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God.
Today's Word
When God gives you a promise, He gives the "Yes", saying He's going to do it, but that is not enough. You have to add the "Amen" to it, which means you're saying, "I believe it. God, I'm in agreement with You." When He says, "I will bring you to a flourishing finish," your response should just be three simple words: "Lord, I believe." When He promises, "I will open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings that you cannot contain," don't say, "I can't see how that is possible." You don't have to see how. Just agree and say, "Lord, I believe." When He says, "I will restore the years that were stolen," don't go by what you see at the moment. Just add your amen: "Lord, I believe."
You may think of a thousand reasons why a promise from God is not going to happen. I can give you one great reason why it will happen: The Creator of the universe has declared it. He doesn"t go back on His word.

Prayer for Today
Father, thank You that Your promises come with Your yes that You are going to do it. Thank You that I can put my amen with Your yes and get in agreement with what You want to do in my life. I believe and declare that Your word is all I need to believe. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
