Apr 21, 2024

Today's Scripture

Exodus 3:7–8, NKJV

“I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows. So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey.”

Today's Word

The Israelites had been in slavery for 430 years. They were born into lack, hardship, struggles, and defeat. Their mind-set was that it was never going to change and they just had to suffer and endure. Pharaoh and his army had all the power. The Israelites had nothing. But God said, “This is a new day. I didn’t create My children to live in oppression, to be bound by worry, depression, and lack.” He stepped in and broke their chains, parted the Red Sea, and defeated their enemies.

Jesus Christ came to set you unquestionably free. You’re about to see the God of the breakthrough put an end to what’s holding you back. When you can’t do anything about the medical report, can’t turn around your business, can’t break the addiction, God says, “It’s your time to be free.” That means there’s nothing draining your joy, nothing hindering your potential, nothing limiting your relationships. You’re going to see the hand of God do what you can’t do on your own. It’s going to be supernatural healing, supernatural freedom, supernatural provision, supernatural favor.

Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You that You have made me Your child, and Jesus has set me free. Thank You that You are the God of the breakthrough and have redeemed me from sin and guilt and sickness. I believe and declare that You are greater than anything that is trying to hold me back. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
